Junior Technical Superintendent

We are looking for a Junior Technical Superintendent to join our team in Eastleigh, UK.
If you are a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual, with an interest in the yachting and/or logistics
sector then this could be the perfect role for you.

Your day-to-day tasks include:

Computer Aided Design. 2D – Primary role.

Prepare drawings to assist sales teams in quoting for tasks then follow up plans once bookings are
made.

Drawings involved are Ships stow plans, Lifting plans, Cradle Plans for yachts and other floating
cargoes and Lashing plans.

Import or recreate PDF or JPEG files scaling to fit standard scaling.

Assist Technical team with high, intense or time sensitive workload.

Prepare any Stand and cradle dimensions to fabricators to ensure correct and accurate cradling
solutions are achieved.

Prepare and assist in cradle design, actively contributing to design, producing technical plans to
allow for internal or 3 rd party fabrication

Assets:

Keeping asset tracking management tools updated along with other members of technical team.

Monitoring and control of Cradle and Lifting equipment lease and return to recognized storage
areas/ home base.

Organization of economic cradle dispatch and return transportation, via multi modal solutions

Procurement of Low-cost consumables and cradling from recognized sources.

Insurance:

Assist with creation of Transportation Manuals for superyacht and bespoke shipments.

Operational:

Invoicing of Technical department tasks.

Act as a client liaison officer on occasions during vessel loadings, primarily at UK local ports, also in
the USA or Caribbean if warranted.

Any other ad hoc tasks set by Technical director.

Apply amendments as required out of hours in case of unexpected situations on vessels.

What you should bring:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Adaptability to use other Software packages
  • Experienced and some history of working in commercial maritime or yachting industries.
  • Working knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) 2d –
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles.

Working hours: 37.5 hrs / week with occasional out of normal hours cover

Location: Office in Eastleigh, Southampton UK / In port vessels

Annual salary: Salary commensurate with experience and qualification
